"Sphere Defense: A New TD Game Inspired by geoDefense"

Sphere Defense, a fresh tower defense game on Android developed by Tomnoki Studio, pays homage to the classic geoDefense by David Whatley, which captivated gamers over a decade ago. The developer, inspired by their childhood experiences with geoDefense, aimed to recreate its beautifully simple yet challenging gameplay.

What’s the Premise?

In Sphere Defense, the Earth, referred to as 'The Sphere,' faces annihilation from invaders. Humanity has been forced underground, where they've been developing new technology in hopes of reclaiming their planet. After years of being overpowered, they've finally amassed enough firepower to launch a counterattack, and you're at the helm, leading the charge to save the planet.

The gameplay sticks to the classic tower defense formula. You strategically place units, each with unique strengths, to fend off waves of enemies. As you accumulate kills, you earn resources to expand or upgrade your arsenal. The game ramps up the challenge with higher difficulties, demanding more strategic planning.

You have three difficulty levels to choose from: easy, normal, and hard. Each level contains 10 stages, with each stage lasting between 5 to 15 minutes. Get a sneak peek of the game in action below!

Set Up Turrets to Mow Your Enemies Down

Sphere Defense features seven types of units, which you'll need to mix and match to survive. The attack units include the Standard Attack Turret for single-target takedowns, the Area Attack Turret for dealing with clusters of enemies, and the Piercing Attack Turret for penetrating through lines of foes.

Support units like the Cooling Turret and the Incendiary Turret enhance your attack units' effectiveness. Additionally, there are support attack units such as the Fixed-Point Attack Unit for precise missile strikes and the Linear Attack Unit for delivering satellite laser attacks.
