Radiangames has exciting news for racing game enthusiasts with the announcement of Speed Demons 2, a side-scrolling highway racer that echoes the visual style and adrenaline-pumping action of the iconic arcade racing series, Burnout. Originally launched as a mobile game, Speed Demons is now making its way to PC, with the sequel slated for release later this year.
In Speed Demons 2, the developers have innovated the control scheme, shifting the focus from traditional steering to movement. Players will use gas, brake, and turbo (or ability) buttons, while controlling their vehicle's direction by moving the analog stick or mouse up and down. Radiangames assures that this unique approach is "immediately intuitive once you start playing."

The game boasts an impressive lineup of ten game modes, some of which draw direct inspiration from Burnout. Modes like Pursuit, Takedown, and Rampage challenge players to wreak havoc on the road within a time limit, reminiscent of Burnout's Road Rage. On the other hand, the Scratchless mode offers a different challenge, akin to Burnout's Burning Lap, where players must reach the finish line with minimal damage to their vehicle.
