Hinako must navigate this unfamiliar, terrifying environment, solve puzzles, and combat strange enemies to survive and confront a pivotal decision. Set in the fictional town of Ebisugaoka, inspired by Kanayama in Gero, Gifu Prefecture, Japan, the developers have meticulously recreated the town. The game's writer, Ryukishi07, known for his psychological Japanese horror visual novels, brings his passion for the franchise to the forefront, promising a blend of classic Silent Hill elements with new challenges.

Ryukishi07, a dedicated fan of the series, noted the challenge of crafting a Silent Hill game outside the series' titular town.
