Get ready for a triple dose of Sonic! Sega is celebrating the upcoming release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 with exciting updates across its mobile Sonic game lineup. These updates, inspired by the new movie, will hit Sonic Forces, Sonic Dream Team, and Sonic Dash.
First up, Sonic Forces receives a brand-new Metro-city Zone on December 12th. This update features three challenging tracks playable as Movie Sonic, Movie Shadow, and other familiar characters. Complete these levels before seeing the movie for the ultimate experience!
Next, on December 18th, Sonic Dream Team adds Shadow as a playable character with new abilities, including Chaos Control and Chaos Shift. Unlock Shadow by completing Tails’ Challenges. New powers like Quick Grind and Perfect Boost are also added for all characters, alongside exclusive upgrades for Shadow (including Double Chaos Shift), six new Shadow-themed statues, new music tracks, and a revamped tutorial.
Lastly, Sonic Dash gets its update on December 20th, allowing players to collect cards to unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic. Daily challenges offer extra rewards. Sonic Dash+ on Apple Arcade will receive its own Shadow-themed update in January.
