"Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Unveiled: Super Slim Design"

By JosephMay 29,2025

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge, its latest flagship smartphone, during its May Unpacked event. Boasting a sleeker profile compared to the Galaxy S25 released earlier in 2025, the S25 Edge introduces a thinner design that sets it apart.

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy S25 Edge mirrors the Galaxy S25 Ultra, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and featuring a 200MP camera. The standout difference lies in the build, where the chassis has been refined to a mere 5.8mm thickness, significantly slimmer than the 8.2mm of the Ultra model. Consequently, the phone is lighter, tipping the scales at just 163 grams.

Despite its compact size, the S25 Edge retains the 6.7-inch AMOLED 2X display found in the Galaxy S25, matching the specifications of the larger 6.9-inch panel in the S25 Ultra.

Durability remains a key consideration given the phone’s slim profile and expansive size. Samsung addressed this by upgrading to Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, which promises enhanced resilience compared to the Gorilla Glass Armor 2 used in the S25 Ultra. The greater concern seems to be accidental bending rather than drops, raising questions about potential long-term reliability.

The Galaxy S25 Edge inherits the "Mobile AI" suite introduced with the S24, leveraging the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s capabilities for localized AI processing, enhancing privacy while maintaining some reliance on cloud-based AI applications. Samsung also offers useful features such as notification and article summaries.

Priced at $1,099 for the 256GB variant and $1,219 for the 512GB option, the Galaxy S25 Edge is available in Titanium Silver, Titanium Jet Black, and Titanium Icyblue. Samsung emphasizes the phone’s durability; time will tell if their claims hold up under scrutiny.
