Jagex has just revealed a thrilling roadmap for RuneScape, outlining a plethora of updates planned for 2024 and 2025. The latest "RuneScape Ahead" video details upcoming content, so let's dive into the highlights!

What's Coming?

Teamwork Takes Center Stage: The highly anticipated Group Ironman mode arrives later this year! Team up with up to four friends for a collaborative experience without external assistance. It's pure teamwork against the game world.

Autumn Brings a New Challenge: This fall, brave The Gate of Elidinis, a challenging new Skilling Boss. Ascend the Sanctum of Rebirth to uncover a hidden shrine dedicated to the enigmatic goddess Elidinis – a key part of the next major story quest.

A Story-Filled Future: The roadmap promises a wealth of story quests. Winter will see the return of beloved storylines, leading players back to the desert for a showdown with Amascut. This culminates in a brand-new end-game boss encounter against Amascut, the Devourer, after completing the Desert Finale quests.

Skill Enhancements: Over 110 skill updates are in the works! This year features Woodcutting & Fletching updates, including a new skill tree and weapons. RuneCrafting and Crafting level 110 updates are slated for 2025.

Festive Fun: The "Harvest Hollow" seasonal event debuts later this year, complete with a new quest, spooky rewards, and chilling activities. The beloved "Christmas Village" event will also return, bringing new quests, festive fun, and holiday rewards.

Beyond 2024: The roadmap also looks to the future! A major area expansion is planned for late 2025. Many player-requested features are also on the way, including new combat achievements, a fourth Necromancy conjure ability, and a new Slayer Monster.
