- RuneScape is set to boost skills such as Woodcutting and Fletching beyond level 99
- The new level 110 update brings fresh mechanics and additions to the skill-tree
- It's a whole host of wood-chopping action this Christmas
If you're a RuneScape fanatic, and the fact that Woodcutting and Fletching skills were capped at level 99 has been tormenting you all year then Christmas has come early. That's because Jagex has confirmed that the new 110 Woodcutting & Fletching update arrives today in RuneScape on all platforms!
Yes, no longer will your hours of grinding be reduced to nought once you hit the top of the double-digits, as you'll now be able to ascend even further. Firemaking also gets a boost, while new Eternal Magic Trees found in Eagle's Peak will test your level 100+ skills.
Collect Enchanted Bird Nests and new consumable items to further enhance your performance, while fletching will now let you create short bows and crossbows, taking your training to new heights. The Masterwork Bow, a level 100 bow, can integrate multiple skills, while the augmentable level 90 and 100 hatchets will fell even the mightiest of oaks.

Alright, so you can probably tell I'm being a little bit facetious. But at the same time, I wouldn't blame some of you for being excited; part of the fun of RuneScape has always been the fact that even outside of combat there's a huge number of skills to grind and unlock amazing new mechanics with.
The increase beyond level 99 also opens up even more possibilities for those skills that haven't already progressed beyond that (if any) and I'm sure it'll add plenty more hours of fun for those of you who are intrigued by boosting your abilities further.
