Rosa's Book Location in KCD2 Revealed

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, missing side tasks can lead to frustrating outcomes, particularly with quests like Rosa's Book, which can be easily overlooked. To successfully complete this side quest, follow these steps carefully.

Unlocking the Rosa’s Book Side Quest

To initiate the quest for Rosa's book, you must first complete the "Via Argentum" quest and begin "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family with Vavak, either by force or persuasion, you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She'll inform you about a secret passage into Maleshov that can be used to rescue Hans. During your conversation, Rosa will mention a book she wants you to retrieve for her. Make sure to ask her about the specific book and promise to bring it back to her to start the "Rosa’s Book" quest.

It's crucial to complete this side quest during the "Taking French Leave" mission. Failing to find the book before leaving with Hans will result in the quest failing, and you'll miss the opportunity to romance Rosa if that's your goal. Fortunately, the book is conveniently located on your path to Hans' room.

Upon entering Maleshov, head to the largest tower where Hans is located at the top. Use the side stairs to reach the entrance and sneak inside. You'll find another set of stairs near a small kitchen; hide here until the guards upstairs leave the tower.

Next, quietly ascend the stairs to a room where Lady Ofka is seated, facing the fireplace. Sneak up behind her and knock her out. Collect the keys from her body, the keys from the podium, and a sword from the chest in her room. In the same room, locate Rosa's book on the right side of the fireplace in a window alcove. Pick up the red book to update your quest objective to return it to Rosa.

While in the area, don't forget to enter the adjacent room and take another sword from the chest there. This will save you time when you meet Hans, as you'll need two weapons for him and his unexpected guest. After securing the book and the swords, proceed to the top level and unlock the left door to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Although Hans may not want to use the passageway, you can advance towards romancing him by choosing the dialogue option with a heart, provided you also chose the heart option in Trosky. From there, sneak to the stables on the north side of Maleshov, dealing with guards as needed. Clear a path for Hans, signal him, and ensure his safe passage to the stables.

Once you open the gate, another cutscene will conclude the quest. Afterward, return to Kuttenberg City and stop by Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's much-desired book in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
