Star Wars Celebration has unveiled our first glimpse of Rory McCann stepping into the role of Baylan Skoll for Season 2 of *Ahsoka*, taking over from the late Ray Stevenson. McCann, known for his compelling performances, is set to bring his unique flair to this pivotal character.
During the Ahsoka panel at Star Wars Celebration, attendees were treated to an exclusive first-look image of McCann as Baylan, which you can see below.
Ray Stevenson, who previously portrayed Baylan Skoll, left an indelible mark on the series before his untimely passing due to a brief illness, just three months before *Ahsoka* premiered. Stevenson's contributions to cinema, including roles in *Thor*, *RRR*, *Punisher: War Zone*, and *Rome*, were widely celebrated, and his performance as Baylan was considered a highlight of the first season.
Series creator Dave Filoni expressed the profound impact of losing Stevenson, describing him as "the most beautiful person on screen and off," and highlighted the challenge this presented in developing Season 2.
Filoni also teased what fans can anticipate in the upcoming season, revealing that Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker, joined by fan-favorite characters such as Admiral Ackbar, Zeb, Chopper, and more.
