Rockstar Releases Bully Anniversary Edition Update After Six Years

Rockstar, the renowned developers behind the GTA series, have just released an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile platforms. After a six-year hiatus, this eagerly awaited update is exclusively available for mobile users, leaving console and PC gamers in anticipation.

Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!

The Bully: Anniversary Edition update introduces new language options and emphasizes stability enhancements and bug fixes. Notably, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges to streamline the gameplay experience.

For Android users with compatible devices, the update enables Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), enhancing visual quality. Both Android and iOS platforms benefit from an updated app icon and the addition of haptic feedback, enriching the mobile gaming experience.

Several mission-specific issues have been addressed, including fixes for 'That Bitch' where picking Mandy’s locker was impossible, 'Weed Killer' which previously halted progress if you broke the window prematurely, and 'The Rumble' where police cars would fall through the floor. Additionally, the update rectifies instances where enemies wouldn’t engage Jimmy, ensuring more balanced combat scenarios. It also resolves crashes that occurred when starting a new game or loading saves from the pause menu.

What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?

The fanbase has long clamored for Bully 2, but Rockstar's focus has shifted towards other major titles. Reports suggest that a sequel was in development during the 2010s but was abandoned in favor of Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online. With GTA 6 currently in the pipeline, hopes for Bully 2 are dim, especially given that many original developers have moved on from Rockstar. While the new update isn't a full remaster or a sequel, it offers a significant upgrade for mobile players.

If you're new to Bully, it's Rockstar's unique take on a schoolyard sandbox game. You step into the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old navigating the challenges and mischief at Bullworth Academy, all wrapped in the classic Rockstar humor and open-world freedom.

You can dive into Bully: Anniversary Edition on the Google Play Store for €7.99, which also supports full gamepad functionality.
