The popular first-person shooter PvP Roblox experience, Rivals, has just released Update 9, bringing exciting new content to its players. This update introduces the innovative Gunblade weapon and the Bridge map, enriching the game's arsenal and environments.
Nosniy Games, the developer behind Rivals, has outlined the new features in the patch notes for today's update. While this update is on the smaller side compared to recent ones, it's packed with enough new elements to keep the community engaged.
The Gunblade is a standout addition, perfectly suiting Rivals fans who are drawn to the game's FPS mechanics and weaponry. This versatile weapon combines the functionality of a rifle with a melee blade, allowing players to switch tactics mid-battle and surprise their opponents. The new Bridge map complements this weapon, offering a close-quarters combat setting in Seoul, designed by creator @GreatGuyBoom. This map features a concrete structure with minimal cover, pushing players into immediate action.
Interestingly, the patch notes for Rivals Update 9 do not include any specific bug fixes, balance changes, or quality-of-life improvements. Nosniy Games has chosen to focus solely on the new map and weapon, although they did make minor adjustments to the skins of the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, and renamed several Hexxed skins to Vexed. The team has promised that these and other requested changes will be addressed in the upcoming major update, which will introduce the much-anticipated Ranked feature.
"We hear all of your feedback and want to reassure you all that every necessary & additional changes/improvements will be made in time for Ranked," stated the developers.

The Demon Shorty & Demon Uzi skins have been slightly modified. The Hexxed Flare Gun skin, Hexxed Candle skin, and Hexxed wrap have been renamed to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, & Vexed respectively.
