Square Enix’s Dragon Quest Monsters series returns to mobile with Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, following its December 2023 Nintendo Switch release. This seventh installment offers a fresh perspective on a familiar villain.
Who is the Dark Prince?
Players take on the role of Psaro, a young man cursed by his father, the Master of Monsterkind, rendering him unable to harm monsters. To break the curse, Psaro embarks on a quest to become a Monster Wrangler, teaming up with creatures to climb the ranks and challenge his father’s authority. Fans of Dragon Quest IV will recognize Psaro as the antagonist, but this game reveals his story.
The game unfolds in the magical world of Nadiria, where dynamic weather and changing seasons impact gameplay. Recruit, train, and fuse over 500 unique monsters, from adorable critters to bizarre behemoths, each appearing based on weather conditions.

The mobile version includes DLC content from the console release, offering the Mole Hole, Coach Joe’s Dungeon Gym, and Treasure Trunks, adding extra challenges and rewards.
