Housemarque's Saros, a PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro exclusive, is slated for release in 2026. Building upon the exhilarating gameplay of Returnal, this new IP features a unique storyline centered around Arjun Devraj, portrayed by actor Rahul Kohli.
Evolving the Returnal Formula: Come Back Stronger
According to Housemarque's creative director, Gregoy Louden, Saros was conceived to allow Returnal to stand alone as a distinct entity. This new IP will refine and expand upon Returnal's narrative and mechanics. Unlike Returnal's procedurally generated levels, Saros will offer persistent character progression, allowing players to enhance their weapons and suits, embodying the game's "Come Back Stronger" philosophy. This approach aims to provide a more strategic and rewarding experience for players.
