Following its closed beta, Rainbow Six Siege X launches widely in June 2025 for consoles and PC. Ubisoft calls this the biggest content update yet. The closed beta introduced Dual Front, a new 6v6 mode.

Dual Front offers a larger-scale, more chaotic experience than previous modes. Larger maps demand strategic coordination between teammates to attack, defend, and complete objectives. Siege X also promises revamped maps, a redesigned user interface, enhanced visuals, and a rebalanced matchmaking system designed to improve the experience for new players.

Ubisoft released a gameplay trailer on March 13, 2025, to coincide with the closed beta launch. The trailer showcases Dual Front's fast-paced 6v6 action on a new map, and hints at overall game refinements, including improved visuals and new gameplay features. It also highlights rewards for existing players and free-to-play access for newcomers.

The Rainbow Six Siege X closed beta ran from March 13th to 19th, with select Twitch partners streaming gameplay. Viewers had a chance to earn beta access codes during these streams. Players needed to link their Twitch and Ubisoft Connect accounts to participate. Notably, prior ownership of Rainbow Six Siege wasn't required for beta access.

Ubisoft provided full beta details on their website. Currently, there are no plans for further beta testing, including an open beta. Rainbow Six Siege is poised for its most significant update yet, a decade after its initial release, continuing Ubisoft's long-standing legacy of Tom Clancy-inspired games.
