It’s become a tradition for developers of popular esports titles to unveil major announcements just before the world championship grand finals, and Ubisoft is no exception. With Rainbow Six Siege entering its tenth year, anticipation was high for a significant reveal…and they delivered!
Ubisoft announced Siege X, a substantial upgrade to Rainbow Six Siege. While not a sequel, it's far more than a simple update. Think of the relationship between Siege X and Rainbow Six Siege as similar to Counter-Strike 2 and Global Offensive: a major overhaul that feels like a new game, yet preserves all player progress and data.
Further details will be revealed during a special three-hour presentation on March 13th, featuring a live audience in Atlanta. To commemorate Rainbow Six Siege’s tenth anniversary, Ubisoft has also released a celebratory pack offering legendary skins from the game's earliest seasons—a comprehensive collection of classic cosmetics.
