Project NET: A Girls’ Frontline Successor?

Project NET, a GFL2 Third Person Shooter Spinoff, Opens Pre-Registrations

First announced on December 27th, 2024, by Sunborn Network (the creators of Girls’ Frontline), Project NET underwent its initial localized test in several SEA countries (Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines) from January 9th to 16th, 2025.

Building upon the success of the Girls’ Frontline franchise (launched in 2016), which includes a popular strategy RPG gacha game, an anime series, and other titles, and its recent sequel, Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium (released December 5th, 2024), Project NET promises familiar characters and aesthetics within a new, action-packed third-person shooter experience.

While no official release date has been announced, Project NET is currently planned for release on iOS and Android, based on the devices used during its initial test.
