Project ETHOS: A Unique Hero Shooter Experience

2K Games and 31st Union present Project ETHOS, a free-to-play game aiming to redefine the hero shooter genre. Blending fast-paced third-person action with dynamic roguelike elements, ETHOS offers a constantly evolving gameplay experience.

What distinguishes Project ETHOS? It seamlessly integrates the unpredictable nature of roguelikes with the diverse abilities of unique heroes. Randomized "Evolutions" dramatically alter hero capabilities mid-match, forcing players to adapt their strategies on the fly. Transform your sniper into a close-quarters combatant or your support into a solo powerhouse – the possibilities are endless.

Project ETHOS features two core game modes:

• Trials: This signature mode challenges teams of three against human and AI opponents. Collect Cores, strategically choose your extraction time, and invest them to unlock powerful upgrades. Death means losing your Cores, adding a high-stakes element to each match. Join ongoing matches or wait for a new one – the choice is yours! Match duration is displayed before joining.

• Gauntlet: A classic competitive PvP tournament mode. Battle through brackets, upgrading your hero with each victory, until only one team remains. Elimination means waiting for the next round.

How to Participate in the Playtest

Project ETHOS embraces community feedback, regularly incorporating updates and improvements. The playtest, running from October 17th to 21st, is currently available to players in select regions (US, Canada, Mexico, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy).

• Watching participating Twitch streams for 30 minutes to receive a playtest key.
• Registering on the official website for a chance to participate in future playtests.
