This feature supports cross-platform play, allowing you to team up with friends on different consoles or PC.

To play online with a friend, have them download the "Split Fiction - Friend’s Pass" from their preferred digital marketplace on March 6. This pass is free and enables your friend to play the entire game with you at no additional cost, provided you send them an invite. What Is Split Fiction?

Split Fiction is a two-player co-op action-adventure game where you play as a sci-fi writer and a fantasy writer who are drawn into their own fictional worlds. Players must collaborate to battle enemies and solve puzzles in environments inspired by science fiction and fantasy. One level might have you racing on Tron-style motorcycles and navigating gravity plates, while another could involve shape-shifting into fantasy characters in an enchanted forest.

The game also features portals to "side stories," which are essentially minigames. You might find yourself riding a "sand fish" through a desert reminiscent of Dune or water skiing behind a drone across the sea.
