Earlier, the head of Xbox Game Studios confirmed a delay for Fable, pushing its release from 2025 to 2026. The reasoning cited was the need for further polish and refinement.
Announced on July 23, 2020, the reboot of this iconic series has remained shrouded in secrecy until now. Three years post-announcement, it became evident that Fable was still in its early development phases.
The involvement of Eidos Montreal alongside main developer Playground Games, coupled with the long absence of polished gameplay footage, strongly suggests the game faced significant development challenges.
