"Polytopia Introduces Weekly Challenges Mode"

The Battle of Polytopia has spiced up its gameplay with the launch of Weekly Challenges, offering a thrilling new way to engage with the beloved 4X strategy game. Let's dive into the details of this exciting addition.

From Randomness to Structured Competition

Traditionally, The Battle of Polytopia has thrived on the unpredictability brought by varied enemies, resources, and maps. However, the new free update introduces a more structured form of competition, leveling the playing field for all participants.

Every week, players will encounter the same map and tribe, along with identical gameplay conditions. The challenge? Achieve the highest possible score within just 20 turns. You're allowed one attempt per day, summing up to a maximum of seven tries each week.

An exciting aspect of the Weekly Challenges is the opportunity to test tribes you might not yet own. The game boasts 16 tribes in total—four are included in the base game, while the other twelve can be purchased for $1-4 each. But in these Weekly Challenges, everyone can compete using any tribe, regardless of ownership.

Will Weekly Challenges Revitalize The Battle of Polytopia?

The introduction of Weekly Challenges certainly promises to inject fresh excitement into The Battle of Polytopia. Additionally, a new League system has been implemented. Starting in the Entry League, players can advance (or decline) based on their performance. Each week, the top third of players move up a league, the bottom third move down, and the middle third remain in their current league.

As you progress through the leagues, the difficulty level scales accordingly. In the Entry League, you'll face AI on Easy mode, but by the time you reach the Gold League, you'll be challenged by bots on Crazy difficulty. Missing a week won't lead to demotion, but your ranking will adjust based on the performances of other players.
