This roguelike deck-builder puts a unique twist on classic card games like Poker and Solitaire. At its heart, Balatro challenges you to create the strongest poker hands while battling challenging bosses and navigating a constantly evolving deck.

Balatro's Gameplay Mechanics

Players face off against bosses known as "Blinds," each imposing unique restrictions on gameplay. Success hinges on accumulating chips, forming powerful poker hands, and outsmarting these bosses to survive until the final confrontation: Ante 8's formidable Boss Blind.

Each hand dealt introduces new Jokers, each possessing unique abilities that can disrupt opponents or provide crucial advantages. Some Jokers might multiply your score or provide extra funds for in-game purchases.

Players customize their decks with various special cards. Planet cards, for example, modify specific poker hands, offering opportunities to enhance particular hand types. Tarot cards can alter a card's rank or suit, sometimes even adding extra chips.
