Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration

The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza taking place in three different cities across the globe in May and June 2025. Mark your calendars for:

• Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
• Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
• Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th

A World of Pokémon Awaits

Pokémon GO Fest is an annual global event offering exclusive in-game items, unique gameplay, and incredible bonuses. In-person events provide a unique experience with city-specific features, and both in-person and online participation require ticket purchases.

Expect to encounter rare Pokémon unavailable through standard gameplay, increased Shiny Pokémon rates, and location-specific spawns based on habitats. In-person attendees will also enjoy exclusive merchandise, themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges. While specifics remain under wraps, the event will follow a similar format to previous years.

January Events: Fashion Week and Shadow Raid Day

Beyond the Pokémon GO Fest announcement, Niantic revealed two exciting January events:

Fashion Week: Taken Over: (January 15th, 12:00 pm - January 19th, 8:00 pm local time)

• Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni.
• Debut of Shroodle and Grafaiai from 12 km Eggs.
• Appearances of Shadow Snivy, Tepig, and more.
• Chance to encounter a fashionably dressed Croagunk during snapshots.

Shadow Raid Day: Shadow Ho-Oh: (January 19th, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm local time)

• Participate in Five-Star Shadow Raids to catch Shadow Ho-Oh.
• $5 USD ticket grants eight Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, and 50% XP bonus from Raids.
• Increased Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate.
• Chance to teach your captured Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
