The Pokémon Company addresses widespread shortages of its highly anticipated Prismatic Evolutions expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). Acknowledging the significant supply issues impacting global availability, including the US, the company has issued a statement expressing gratitude for fans' patience.
The statement confirms that reprints of Prismatic Evolutions products are currently underway and will soon be distributed to licensed vendors. While the exact timeframe remains unspecified, the company assures fans that they are working at maximum capacity to address the high demand. The statement avoids directly addressing speculation regarding scalping as the cause of the shortages, simply attributing the problem to "high demand."
Beyond the reprints, The Pokémon Company assures fans that additional Prismatic Evolutions products are on the way. These include a Mini Tin and Surprise Box (February 7th), a Booster Bundle and Accessory Pouch Special Collection (March 7th and April 25th respectively), a Super-Premium Collection (May 16th), and a Premium Figure Collection (September 26th). Players can also obtain Prismatic Evolutions cards starting January 16th via the Pokémon TCG Live mobile game's Battle Pass. The company reiterates its commitment to resolving the supply issues as swiftly as possible.
