Get ready, Pokémon Go trainers! February's Community Day is bringing a double dose of excitement with Karrablast and Shelmet taking center stage. Mark your calendars: the event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on February 9th, 2025.
Meet the Stars: Karrablast and Shelmet
Prepare for an increased encounter rate with Karrablast and Shelmet in the wild! This is your chance to catch these Pokémon more frequently than usual, and you might even be lucky enough to find their Shiny versions.
The real fun begins with evolution. Evolve Karrablast anytime between the event start and 10:00 p.m. local time on February 16th to obtain an Escavalier knowing the powerful Charged Attack, Razor Shell (35 power in Trainer Battles, 55 power in Gyms and Raids). Similarly, evolving Shelmet during this period nets you an Accelgor with the Charged Attack Energy Ball (a hefty 90 power in all battle types).
Community Day Bonuses and Special Research
This Community Day is packed with awesome bonuses! Enjoy 3x XP for catching Pokémon, double Candy, and a 2x chance for Candy XL from catches (for Trainers level 31 and above). Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last a generous three hours. Plus, there's a surprise in store for those who snap some photos—so get clicking!
A Special Research event will reward you with encounters featuring Karrablast and Shelmet with special Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds, a Premium Battle Pass, and a Rare Candy XL. A Timed Research event, lasting a week after the main event, unlocks further encounters with these special Pokémon by simply logging in during Community Day.
