PlatinumGames is commemorating the 15th anniversary of the original Bayonetta with a year-long celebration, expressing gratitude to fans for their enduring support. The original game, released in October 2009 (Japan) and January 2010 (globally), garnered critical acclaim for its innovative design and exhilarating gameplay, establishing a legacy that spawned sequels exclusively on Nintendo platforms.

The stylish action, a hallmark of director Hideki Kamiya's previous works (Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe), quickly propelled Bayonetta to iconic status among female video game protagonists.
