This year's Pokémon Sleep winter holiday event brings two adorable new Pokémon: Eevee in a Santa hat, Pawmi, and Alolan Vulpix! Let's dive into how to catch them.
Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Debut in Pokémon Sleep
The December 2024 Holiday Dream Shard Research event, running the week of December 23rd, marks the arrival of Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix. This event boosts your chances of encountering these Pokémon, and shiny variants will also be available.
Catching Pawmi
Pawmi appears starting December 23rd at 3 PM on Greengrass Isle, Snowdrop Tundra, and Old Gold Power Plant. Its sleep type is Snoozing, a common sleep type easily achieved. A Balanced sleep type might also attract Pawmi, but with lower odds. Remember, you can evolve Pawmi into Pawmo and Pawmot using Candies, but their sleep styles can only be studied through wild encounters.
Catching Alolan Vulpix
Alolan Vulpix, also appearing December 23rd at 3 PM, is rarer and only found on Snowdrop Tundra. Its sleep type is Slumbering, requiring a deep sleep of at least 8 hours. While a Balanced sleep type might work, the chances are slimmer.
Best Island for the Holiday Event
For the best chance at both Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix, head to Snowdrop Tundra. However, be aware that this island has high team requirements, so prepare your team beforehand.
Pokémon GO is available on iOS and Android.
