Quick Links

Path of Exile 2 loot filters significantly enhance gameplay, especially in later stages with increased item drops. They declutter the screen while highlighting valuable items, streamlining the looting process. While using a controller or playing on console might seem to complicate this, PlayStation and Xbox players can utilize item filters just like PC users. This guide simplifies the process.

How to Link Path of Exile 2 and Console Accounts

To use loot filters on consoles, you must link your console account to your Path of Exile account through the Path of Exile 1 website:

  1. Log in to the Path of Exile website.
  2. Access your account settings by clicking your account name (top-left).
  3. Select "Manage Account" (right-side, below your profile).
  4. Under "Secondary Login," connect your PlayStation (Sony) or Xbox (Microsoft) account.

Follow the on-screen prompts to link your accounts.

Finding and Using Loot Filters

After linking accounts, return to your website profile and click the "Item Filters" button (right-side). Click the "Item Filter Ladder" link. This opens a new tab displaying available filters.

Select "PoE 2" from the dropdown menu above the filter list. Choose a filter (NeverSink's semi-strict or regular filters are recommended for new players) and click "Follow."

Finally, in-game, navigate to the Options menu, then the Game tab. Select your followed filter from the "Item Filter" dropdown at the top and save your changes. Your chosen filter will now modify item labels, colors, and/or sound effects.
