No release date has been set for the region. The statement emphasized the team's commitment to bringing the game to all PS5 users as quickly as possible.
While Pocketpair hasn't explicitly stated the reason for the delay, it's widely believed to be directly related to the ongoing patent infringement lawsuit filed by Nintendo in Tokyo Court. This legal action seeks an injunction and damages, potentially impacting Palworld's continued operation and even leading to its removal from the market. A granted injunction could halt Pocketpair's work on Palworld.
