Albion Online's Rogue Frontier Update: Smugglers, New Weapons, and More!
Sandbox Interactive's medieval fantasy MMORPG, Albion Online, is getting a major update on February 3rd – Rogue Frontier! This first major update of the year introduces exciting new content centered around a rebellious faction: The Smugglers.
Outland Adventures
The Smugglers, tired of the Royal Continent's strict laws, have established a presence in the lawless Outlands. They operate from hidden underground bases known as Smuggler's Dens. These dens serve as crucial hubs for players, providing banking, repair services, and a central location for planning Outlands expeditions. The dens are interconnected via the Smuggler's Network, a sophisticated marketplace system spanning the Outlands.
Players can actively participate in the ongoing conflict between the Smugglers and the Royal Guards. Help the Smugglers by rescuing captured members or delivering contraband goods hidden within Smuggler Crates.
Rewards and New Features
Show your loyalty to the Smugglers and be rewarded by Maggy Slade, a mysterious trader residing in the dens. Earn valuable rewards, including a Smuggler's Vanity Set, a Smuggler's Cape (with a unique ability to reduce potion cooldowns), a Smuggler's Ring, and a Smuggler's Avatar.
Rogue Frontier also introduces Kill Trophies, dropping from defeated players. The better the loot your opponent possessed, the greater your chance of obtaining a Kill Trophy.
New weapons add a stylish edge to combat:
- Rotcaller Staff: Summon a chilling mist to repel enemies.
- Skystrider Bow: Levitate and unleash devastating attacks from above.
- Forcepulse Bracers: Shockwave opponents with powerful melee dashes.
