Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon Sequel Revealed

FDG Entertainment and Cornfox & Bros. have revealed their latest title, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon. Set two centuries after the events of Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, this new entry brings a fresh perspective to the series. It is scheduled for release on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam in the second quarter of 2025.

What is the Story of Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon?

This adventure moves away from seafaring to delve into the perilous depths of an underground labyrinth. Players will experience a classic dungeon crawler with a retro aesthetic.

The world of Gaia has fallen into disarray. The once-mighty Kingdom of Arcadia is now a fragmented collection of islands, and the fabled White City exists only in tales.

Undeterred, a band of four adventurers embarks on a quest into the Chronos Dungeon. This enigmatic underground fortress is said to contain the Paradigm Hourglass.

The Paradigm Hourglass is a legendary artifact with the power to reshape history. By braving the dungeon's dangers, the heroes aim to restore the world to its past splendor.

The developers have released an announcement trailer for Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon, which you can watch below.

What Are the Game's Key Features?

Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon embraces a traditional dungeon crawler format with a strong 16-bit arcade feel. It supports couch co-op, allowing up to four players to join forces locally.

If playing solo, you can command all four heroes simultaneously or switch between them strategically. The game offers substantial replayability.

Each hero's starting attributes are uniquely determined by their zodiac sign, ensuring that every playthrough feels distinct. The four playable characters are the Knight, the Huntress, the Grandmaster, and the Mage.

Beyond its nostalgic 16-bit pixel art, the game features a chiptune-inspired soundtrack and incorporates numerous classic arcade elements.

The Steam page is now live, where you can find further details about FDG's new game, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon.
