The initial release saw immediate success, selling out quickly. In Japan, sales were temporarily suspended and transitioned to a lottery system for Nintendo Online subscribers due to overwhelming demand. Similar sell-outs occurred in locations like New York City.
March 2025: Wider Availability:
Alarmo will be available at major retailers globally, including Target, Walmart, GameStop, and other authorized retailers. The $99.99 USD price point remains unchanged. This expanded release is exciting news for fans who missed the initial launch.
Key Features of the Nintendo Alarmo:
Alarmo boasts a unique gaming-themed experience. It features 42 selectable scenes from popular Nintendo games such as Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Splatoon 3, with more promised via free updates (e.g., Animal Crossing: New Horizons).
The alarm's functionality is engaging: a game character appears on the screen, and the alarm's sound gently increases until you get out of bed. A motion sensor allows for silencing the alarm without touching the device. For those sharing a bed with others or pets, a "Button Mode" is available.
