Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack: Four Retro Classics Arrive

Battletoads/Double Dragon, Big Run, and More!

Prepare for a nostalgic gaming experience! Nintendo's September update delivers four SNES games from the early 90s, offering diverse gameplay: beat 'em up action, high-speed racing, challenging puzzles, and competitive dodgeball.

First up: the iconic crossover, Battletoads/Double Dragon. Team up with the Battletoads and the Double Dragon brothers to defeat the Dark Queen and her Shadow Warriors. Choose from five playable characters: Billy and Jimmy Lee (Double Dragon) and Zitz, Pimple, and Rash (Battletoads).

Originally released on NES in June 1993 and ported to SNES in December 1993, this marks a long-awaited re-release for Battletoads/Double Dragon.

Next, dive into the dodgeball arena with Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shūgō! (Super Dodgeball in the West). Featuring Kunio-kun from the River City series, you'll compete against global rivals in various indoor and outdoor courts, each with unique challenges.

Originally launched for Super Famicom in August 1993.

Puzzle enthusiasts will enjoy Cosmo Gang the Puzzle. Similar to Tetris and Puyo Puyo, strategically clear lines of containers and Cosmos to score points. Three modes await:

• 1P Mode (solo high score challenge)
• VS Mode (head-to-head competition)
• 100 Stage Mode (increasingly difficult puzzles)

Clear lines horizontally, utilizing blue orbs to remove Cosmos.

Initially released in arcades (1992), then on Super Famicom (1993), Cosmo Gang the Puzzle has seen re-releases on Wii, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.
