NieR: Automata's opening introduces 2B's mission. After landing and engaging in melee combat, you'll acquire a one-handed and a two-handed sword. The latter, the Virtuous Treaty, is a powerful weapon temporarily lost after the prologue. However, it's quickly recoverable once free-roaming is unlocked in the subsequent chapter.
Where To Find the Virtuous Treaty in NieR: Automata
This early-game weapon is located near your initial spawn point after leaving the bunker. Upon landing in the city ruins, descend to the lower area. To the left, you'll see a highway above the nearest access point. Proceed towards the highway, using the ruins to climb onto the road. This path leads back towards the factory.
Jump down to the factory and follow the grassy path toward the main structure. An access point and stairs to an upper area are located on the left. On the left side of this upper area, near the destroyed bridge where you fought the Goliath, you'll find the Virtuous Treaty embedded in the ground.
Your discarded body, containing prologue consumables, is just to the right of the sword.
Virtuous Treaty Stats in NieR: Automata
- Attack: 300-330
- Combo: Light 2, Heavy 2
This two-handed sword, typical of its type, delivers wide-sweeping attacks, dealing significant damage to multiple enemies, albeit with a slower attack speed. Upgrades can potentially make it one of the game's highest-damage weapons, provided you adapt to its slower pace. You can also incorporate it into combos with faster weapons by using a heavy attack during their sequences. While this prevents a full Virtuous Treaty combo, it leverages its high damage output to compensate for its slower speed.
