NBA 2K25's Season 4 Launch Prepares with Significant Update 4.0

NBA 2K25 has released a major update, paving the way for Season 4's January 10th launch. This update, Patch 4.0, focuses on visual enhancements, gameplay refinements, and stability improvements across various game modes.

Key improvements include updated player likenesses (featuring Stephen Curry and Joel Embiid), court adjustments (correcting the Los Angeles Clippers logo and Emirates NBA Cup court), and uniform updates reflecting current sponsor patches. These visual upgrades enhance the game's realism.

Gameplay enhancements in Patch 4.0 center on increased realism and player control. The "Light Pressure" shot meter is now divided into three levels (Weak, Moderate, Strong) for more precise shot feedback. Ball physics have been adjusted to reduce excessively long rebounds, and defensive mechanics have been tweaked to prevent unfair interruptions of skill dunks. The Offensive 3 Seconds rule has also been implemented in 1v1 modes. Performance and stability improvements have been made to City and Pro-Am modes.

MyCAREER, MyTEAM, and MyNBA Mode Enhancements

MyCAREER sees fixes to progression issues, ensuring accurate badge unlocks and preventing skipped NBA Cup games. MyTEAM receives visual updates to player cards and menus, along with fixes to save functionality for Favorite Plays and progress blockers in challenges. MyNBA, MyNBA Online, and The W modes benefit from stability improvements, addressing issues such as NBA Cup simulation problems and league contraction.

• Fixed an issue preventing correct REP multiplier application after transitioning from MyTEAM to The City.
• Enabled alternate uniforms for all Pro-Am away teams.
• Fixed a delay when changing clothing before Pro-Am 5v5 shootarounds.

MyCAREER / QUESTS / PROGRESSION

• Multiple fixes and adjustments to improve quest experience and progression.
• Fixed an issue preventing the Maximum Overdrive badge slot from unlocking.
• Resolved an issue causing skipped dynamically scheduled NBA Cup games during simulation.

MyTEAM

• Fixed an issue preventing Breakout games from being counted.
• Updated Breakout mini-game award icon visuals.
• Fixed an issue preventing saving Favorite Plays after selecting a new Playbook Card.
• Resolved an issue preventing instantly regenerated Exchanges from being available multiple times in the Duplicates menu.
• Visual improvements to Auction House menus.
• Fixed a progress blocker in Welcome to MyTEAM Challenges.
• Minor updates to Player Card visuals and other MyTEAM menus.

MyNBA / THE W

• Stability fixes and improvements for MyNBA, MyNBA Online, and The W.
• Resolved a progress blocker in MyNBA saves using Start Today when NBA Cup games were scheduled.
