Myst-Like Lovecraftian Point-And-Click Puzzle My Father Lied Is Coming to Android This Year

In a world brimming with video games, finding a truly unique experience can be a challenge. My Father Lied, however, stands out with its captivating narrative. This mystery/Lovecraftian puzzle adventure boasts a compelling story that sets it apart from the crowd.

My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Vision

The game's creation story is fascinating. Ahmed Alameen, the developer, wasn't initially aiming for a career in game development. In 2020, he was establishing himself as a writer and filmmaker. A collaborative game project with a college friend fell through, but the story remained with him. Alameen, driven by his vision, taught himself 3D modeling and Unreal Engine, ultimately realizing his ambitious project solo. Even the game's title was a collaborative effort with his wife.

Unraveling the Mystery: The Game's Narrative

The game plunges players into a captivating mystery steeped in ancient Mesopotamian myths, brimming with secrets, puzzles, and surprises. Players assume the role of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: what happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, proves far from straightforward.

My Father Lied masterfully blends ancient Mesopotamian culture with modern storytelling. The intuitive point-and-click gameplay features beautiful 2D visuals and immersive 360-degree images.
