Mortal Kombat 1: T-1000 Gameplay & Surprise Kameo DLC

By MatthewMar 14,2025

Get ready for some serious metallic mayhem! NetherRealm Studios has unleashed the first gameplay footage of the T-1000, the iconic Terminator villain, as a DLC guest character for Mortal Kombat 1. The footage showcases a brutal array of attacks, drawing inspiration from Terminator 2, including the T-1000's signature morphing abilities and weaponized limbs. His fighting style blends elements reminiscent of Baraka and Kabal, culminating in a liquid metal uppercut that would make Glacius proud.

Adding to the excitement, Robert Patrick, the actor who immortalized the T-1000 in the 1991 film, lends his voice and likeness to the character. The teaser offers a chilling glimpse of Patrick's voice acting in a showdown with Johnny Cage, culminating in a spectacular Fatality that reimagines the thrilling truck chase scene from Terminator 2.

But that's not all! NetherRealm surprised fans with the announcement of Madam Bo, a beloved character from Mortal Kombat 1's story mode, as a new DLC Kameo fighter. Madam Bo, the resourceful restaurant owner who bravely defended herself against Smoke and his henchmen, will be available alongside the T-1000. A brief glimpse of her in-game action is shown, highlighting her role as a powerful assist character.

The T-1000 will be available as early access for Khaos Reigns owners on March 18th, with general release on March 25th. Madam Bo arrives on March 18th as a free update for Khaos Reigns owners or as a standalone purchase. The T-1000 marks the final DLC character for the Khaos Reigns expansion, following Cyrax, Sektor, Noob Saibot, Ghostface, and Conan the Barbarian.

Speculation about a potential third Kombat Pack remains, fueled by Warner Bros. Discovery's continued support for the Mortal Kombat franchise and NetherRealm's confirmation that their next game was decided three years ago. While the studio remains tight-lipped about future projects, Ed Boon's reassurance that the Injustice franchise is not closed leaves fans hopeful for a future return to the DC universe. The decision to prioritize another Mortal Kombat title over an Injustice sequel was influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic and the transition to a new Unreal Engine, according to Boon. The door, however, remains firmly open for future Injustice installments.

Madam Bo is coming to Mortal Kombat 1 as a Kameo fighter.
