Mortal Kombat 1 has unveiled two consecutive character reveals. Yesterday's esports trailer teased T-1000, but the Terminator isn't the immediate addition. Instead, Conan the Barbarian arrives next week for premium edition owners, with today's release of his gameplay trailer.
Conan's gameplay showcases a powerful, heavy-hitting style. His attacks appear devastating, though his lack of agility might be offset by his sword's reach. Matchups against characters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander will be particularly intriguing.
While visually reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan's fatality lacks the spectacle of some others in MK1. His acid-drowning finish is relatively underwhelming. However, enjoyable gameplay is paramount, and Conan promises just that.
Premium edition owners gain early access on Tuesday, while everyone else must wait until January 28th.
