Get Ready for Monster Hunter Wilds' Second Open Beta!
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Don't worry! A second chance arrives in early February, bringing new content and improvements. Here's how to join the hunt!
New Monster, New Opportunities
The second Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test offers another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news via a YouTube video on the official Monster Hunter channel.
The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time, hunters can face off against the Gypceros, a familiar foe from the series – a significant addition not included in the initial beta.
Character data from the first beta can be carried over and transferred to the full game, though progress won't be saved. Participants receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack for a head start in the full game.
Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating the team heard player requests for another chance to play and wanted to accommodate those who missed the first session. While ongoing development continues on further improvements outlined in a previous community update video, these refinements won't be included in this beta.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S February 28th, 2025. Prepare for the hunt!
