Personally, I'm thrilled with this title. The stunning graphics, epic battles against a variety of monsters, the allure of beautifully presented and delicious food, and the stunning gear and weapons are all highlights. Yes, the food is truly something to look forward to in the game! In this article, I'll briefly discuss the game and its system requirements.

The story of Monster Hunter Wilds might not be the game's strongest suit—it's rather clichéd, uninteresting, and serves more as a tutorial. However, the protagonist's ability to speak is a new feature, though the dialogues might feel a bit artificial. You'll navigate through six in-game chapters, but the real draw of Monster Hunter has always been the combat, not the narrative.

Players are drawn to the series for its intense, lengthy, and thrilling monster battles, and Wilds delivers a plethora of unique encounters. As part of an expedition, your protagonist (customizable as male or female) explores uncharted lands spurred by the discovery of a child named Nata in the desert. The boy, the sole survivor of a tribe attacked by the mysterious "White Ghost," hints at the presence of life in these supposedly uninhabited regions.

While the story attempts to add drama, it often feels absurd, especially given the local tribe's bewilderment at the protagonist's use of weapons. The narrative has improved in structure and detail, but it remains linear, sometimes feeling restrictive by the tenth hour of gameplay. Completing the campaign takes about 15-20 hours, and for those primarily interested in hunting, the story might seem more of an obstacle than a motivation. Thankfully, most dialogues and cutscenes can be skipped, which is a plus for players like me who prefer to focus on the action.

Hunting in Wilds has been streamlined. When you hit a monster, visible wounds appear on its body. By targeting these wounds, you can deal massive damage and obtain monster parts, which are now automatically collected—a convenient feature that enhances gameplay. The introduction of rideable pets, such as Seikret, further simplifies the experience. Seikret can automatically rush you towards your target or any map location at maximum speed. If you're knocked down, Seikret can quickly revive you, allowing you to switch weapons or heal without enduring lengthy recovery animations. This feature has saved me numerous times when my health was critically low.

Seikret also navigates you directly to your destination, eliminating the need to constantly check the map. Fast travel to the camp is another handy feature, suggested when hovering over the tent icon on the map.

In Wilds, you won't see traditional health bars for monsters. Instead, you'll need to read their movements, animations, and sounds to gauge their damage level. Your pet will even announce the monster's state, adding an extra layer of tactical awareness. Monsters now use the environment more strategically in battles, and some can form packs, presenting multi-enemy encounters. Yet, there's no need to panic; you can call for backup from live players or NPCs to tackle these challenges, making the experience more enjoyable and efficient.
