The strategic tower defense game, Code Geass: Lost Stories, is ending its global run. While the Japanese version will continue, the international servers are shutting down on August 29th, 2024. This means no new downloads, purchases, or logins will be possible after that date; official social media will also close.
Developed by f4samurai and DMM Games, published by Komoe, and based on the popular Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion franchise, the game launched globally in September 2023, falling short of its first anniversary.
The Shutdown Date: August 29th, 2024.
Reasons for Closure: While no official reason was given, low download numbers and negative global reviews likely contributed to the decision. Many licensed anime gacha games struggle to maintain player bases outside Japan due to lower spending habits in other regions.
The game, a blend of RPG, action, and tower defense elements, enjoyed some success in Japan. Japanese players interested in the title can still find it on the Google Play Store.
