MGS Delta: Snake Eater Keeps Suggestive Themes

By AudreyJan 10,2026

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater maintains the suggestive themes from Metal Gear Solid 3, including the contentious Peep Demo Theater feature, as confirmed by age classification boards.

While Konami hasn't officially addressed the inclusion of these controversial elements, the ESRB has assigned the stealth-action title a Mature 17+ rating citing realistic combat scenarios, graphic violence, and "suggestive/sexual material."

The rating description elaborates on the game's intense sequences: "Cinematic sequences showcase heightened violence - including torture scenes via electrocution, graphic headshots, and immolated characters sustaining gunfire."

"The title contains mature sexual content: inappropriate touching of female characters, revealing camera angles focusing on cleavage, brief groping of male characters, and the Peep Demo Theater feature enabling intimate first-person viewing of partially-clothed female character models."

Originally introduced in the Subsistence and HD Collection versions, the Peep Demo Theater requires four complete playthroughs to unlock, allowing players to manipulate camera angles during Eva's underwear scenes.

Konami recently unveiled Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater's August 28 launch date alongside confirmation that the beloved Snake vs. Monkey bonus game will return.

In our hands-on evaluation, IGN noted "Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater leans heavily toward being an HD remaster rather than a full-fledged remake," particularly praising its enhanced first-person viewpoint while wishing for more substantial reimaginings. Our retrospective review scored the original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater an outstanding 9.6.
