Mask Around: A Gooey Sequel That Packs a Punch

Mask Around, the sequel to 2020's quirky roguelike platformer Mask Up, is now available on Google Play. This time around, the familiar yellow goo returns, but with a significant upgrade: the addition of shooting mechanics!

Remember the original Mask Up? You started as a puddle of yellow goo and evolved into a… well, a buff pile of goo. Mask Around retains that core gameplay, but now you can seamlessly switch between ranged combat and close-quarters brawling. Your goo powers are still crucial, but you'll also wield weapons, adding a new layer of strategic depth.

Resource management remains key. That precious yellow ooze is still in limited supply, making careful timing essential, especially during challenging boss encounters.

More Than Just Goo

Mask Around represents a substantial evolution from its predecessor. While the core gameplay loop remains, the addition of shooting significantly expands the possibilities. Players must now strategically manage their goo reserves alongside their weaponry. The visuals have also received a noticeable polish.

Currently available on Android, there's no official word yet on an iOS release. While I haven't played the original, Mask Around appears to be a successful expansion of the formula, offering a more refined and engaging experience.
