Marvel Snap's first Spotlight Cache card of 2025, Victoria Hand, is an Ongoing character boosting cards generated in your hand. While often considered a card-generation archetype staple, Victoria Hand surprisingly excels in discard decks. This guide presents two effective decks, one for each archetype, to help you integrate her into the current metagame.
Victoria Hand (2–3)

Season: Dark Avengers

The Best Deck for Victoria Hand
Victoria Hand pairs perfectly with a Devil Dinosaur card-generation deck. This powerful combo utilizes Quinjet, Mirage, Frigga, Valentina, Cosmo, The Collector, Agent Coulson, Agent 13, Kate Bishop, and Moon Girl.
Iron Patriot, Mystique, and Speed can replace Agent 13, Kate Bishop, and Frigga as flexible options.
Victoria Hand Deck Synergies
- Victoria Hand enhances cards generated in your hand.
- Agent Coulson, Agent 13, Mirage, Frigga, Valentina, Kate Bishop, and Moon Girl generate cards. (Frigga and Moon Girl also duplicate key cards for added buffs or disruption.)
- Quinjet discounts generated cards, enabling more plays.
- The Collector's power increases with each generated card.
- Cosmo provides tech card protection for the Devil Dino and Victoria Hand lane.
- Devil Dino is the win condition, ideally played after Moon Girl or with multiple generated cards in hand.
Reports suggest Victoria Hand might buff cards generated in the opponent's hand or those that change sides. Whether this is a bug or intended functionality remains unclear. If not a bug, the card text requires clarification. This warrants attention when playing Victoria Hand decks.
How to Play Victoria Hand Effectively
Playing a Victoria Hand deck requires careful consideration:
- Balance card generation and energy: Aim for a full hand for maximizing Devil Dino's power, while also generating cards and leveraging Victoria's effect. Efficient energy use is crucial; sometimes skipping turns to maintain a full hand is more beneficial than filling the board.
- Use joker cards strategically: Victoria Hand decks generate random cards. Use these strategically as decoys to confuse opponents.
- Protect your Ongoing lane: Opponents often target the Victoria Hand lane with tech cards like Enchantress. Counter this by playing Devil Dino and Victoria Hand in the same lane (creating an Ongoing setup) and protecting them with Cosmo.
Alternative Discard Deck for Victoria Hand
Victoria Hand also finds a place in refined discard decks. Pair her with Helicarrier, MODOK, Morbius, Scorn, Blade, Apocalypse, Swarm, Corvus Glaive, Colleen Wing, Lady Sif, and The Collector.
How to Counter Victoria Hand
Super Skrull is an effective counter to Victoria Hand, particularly beneficial against Doctor Doom 2099 decks. Shadow King removes Victoria's buffs in one lane, while Enchantress disables all Ongoing effects. Valkyrie, played in a critical enemy lane, disrupts power distribution.
Is 'Victoria Hand' Worth It?
Victoria Hand is a valuable card. Whether obtained through the Spotlight Cache or Tokens, she offers a strong return on investment. Despite some RNG reliance, her permanent buffs allow for consistent deck building. Her effectiveness in card-generation and discard archetypes makes her a valuable asset for many players.
