Get ready for a blast from the past! It looks like the highly anticipated return of Verdansk to Call of Duty: Warzone is happening on March 10th. Activision initially hinted at a spring 2025 release last August, but now a countdown on the Call of Duty shop confirms the date (thanks, InsiderGaming). The countdown, alongside a teaser image featuring a snowy alpine scene with a crashed plane, evokes nostalgic memories of the original Verdansk map before its replacements. Currently, the only way to experience this classic map is through Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. This is exciting news for fans who were previously told Verdansk wouldn't be returning.
Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 has launched, bringing five new multiplayer maps (Bounty, Dealership, Lifeline, Bullet, and Grind), the return of Gun Game mode, new weapons, operators, and a pricey Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover. Warzone, however, has received less content than initially planned as the developers focus on resolving critical issues, including gameplay adjustments, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements.
