The event, held earlier this month, attracted over 190,000 attendees. While not comparable to major sporting events, it's still a significant turnout. At least five couples chose this unique setting to propose, capturing their special moments on camera.
Martina, who proposed to her partner Shaun, shared, "It was the perfect time. After 8 years, including 6 long-distance, we're finally together. We just moved in, and this is the best way to celebrate our new life."
Niantic's special proposal package likely means many more proposals went unrecorded. Nevertheless, the event highlights the significant role Pokémon Go has played in connecting couples, proving that some relationships might not exist without the game.
