Locating the Burglar in The Sims 4

A classic from earlier Sims games, the Burglar Sim sneaks into homes to steal valuables. With the February 25, 2025, update for The Sims 4, she’s back as Robin Banks, striking at night. She’ll attempt to swipe valuable items from Sims’ homes before anyone can intervene.

Robin Banks doesn’t appear frequently in The Sims 4, but players can boost her chances of showing up by activating the new Lot Challenge, Heist Havoc. This setting also triggers alarms, increasing the likelihood that the Burglar escapes with her loot.

Stopping the Burglar in The Sims 4

If you wake up in time, there are ways to stop Robin Banks. One option is to call the police, who have returned in The Sims 4 to arrest the elusive criminal. Alternatively, Sims can confront her directly in a fight, with fitter Sims having a better shot at winning.

(Requires: The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Game Pack) Servos can zap the Burglar into place with their defense matrix. (Requires: The Sims 4 Discover University Expansion Pack) Scientists can use the Freeze Ray to immobilize them. (Requires: The Sims 4 Get to Work Expansion Pack) Vampires, of course, might take advantage of the situation for a quick warm-blooded snack before commanding the Burglar to leave.
