NCSoft’s upcoming anime-inspired RPG, Limit Zero Breakers, has unveiled its first closed beta.
Join the adventure early in 2026 on Android and PC.
In Limit Zero Breakers, you’ll team up with a band of adventurers on a quest for the legendary Archive of the Gods.
As a developer, NCSoft has delivered some compelling titles in the past—like the sadly canceled Battle Crush. Yet one of their most intriguing projects is the anime-inspired RPG Limit Zero Breakers. If you’re lucky, you can get early access through the upcoming closed beta, as sign-ups have now opened.
For now, beta access is limited to Android and PC. But the early 2026 beta will mark our first real look at NCSoft’s most ambitious project to date. You can register for the closed beta on the official Limit Zero Breakers website.
Anime-inspired RPGs aren’t new—MiHoYo, after all, has built an entire library of them. But NCSoft is adamant this one stands apart, centered not on saving the world, but on joining the Breakers, a band of explorers, as they pursue the mythical Archive of the Gods.

Breaking the rules
I’m cautiously optimistic about Limit Zero Breakers. Maybe it’s nostalgia—Battle Crush was among the first games I ever covered here—but I’m genuinely intrigued to see how this project unfolds, especially with its bold inspiration and a partnership with the hit anime studio Mappa for its trailer.
In terms of gameplay and action, the latest closed beta test showcases those anime-styled visuals. The combat feels as intense and dynamic as fans could hope for. Still, we’ll only know for sure how it plays when Limit Zero Breakers launches in closed beta next year.
In the meantime, if you’re looking for something to keep you occupied ahead of this and other upcoming releases, you’re in luck. We’ve just rolled out our latest edition of the top five new mobile games to try this week!
