Monster Hunter Wilds Lightcrystal Farming Locations
Lightcrystals are found by mining Mining Outcrops in Monster Hunter Wilds. The drop rate is random, so persistent mining is key. Here are the areas with Mining Outcrops:
- Windward Plains: Areas 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 17
- Oilwell Basin: Areas 4, 6, 7
- Iceshard Cliffs: Areas 8, 16
- Ruins of Wyveria: Area 5
After mining, Outcrops respawn in approximately 15-20 minutes. Utilize this downtime by farming other materials in different areas before returning.
How to Use Lightcrystals
Once you've gathered enough Lightcrystals, return to Gemma at Base Camp to forge or upgrade weapons. These items require Lightcrystals:
- Guild Knight Sabers I
- Dragon Perforator II
- Dual Hatchets II
- Triple Bayonet II
- Iron Assault II
- Iron Gale II
- Chain Blitz II
- Iron Accelerator II

Keep in mind that many of these items (excluding the Thunder Charm) will likely be quickly surpassed by better equipment. Don't be afraid to move on to stronger gear as you progress.
