While the Necroa virus provides a fun backstory, After Inc. focuses on the survival and societal rebuilding aspects. You’ll take on the role of a leader, tasked with restoring civilization after a devastating zombie outbreak has decimated the human population.
Ndemic Creations, known for societal simulation games like Rebel Inc., is well-equipped for this genre. You'll need to rebuild infrastructure, manage resources, navigate harsh winters and other natural disasters, and, of course, defend against the persistent threat of zombies. The clever nod to Plague Inc. with the Necroa virus is a fun detail, and it's interesting that Ndemic seems committed to the “Inc.” suffix for its titles. It's amusing to consider a more overtly villainous approach in a post-apocalyptic setting, as a survivalist council doesn't quite fit the corporate model.
Nevertheless, After Inc. is a thrilling release for fans of Ndemic Creations’ previous work and anyone seeking a high-quality zombie apocalypse rebuilding simulator from a reputable developer.
