Alchemy Stars: Offline Mode Incoming, Server Shutdown January 24th, 2025
Tencent and Level Infinite recently announced the upcoming closure of Alchemy Stars' online services. Launched in June 2021, the mobile game will transition to an offline-only version on January 24th, 2025. This means players can still enjoy the game's story and gameplay, but without online features or updates.
Server Shutdown and Offline Transition:
The live service will officially end on January 24th, 2025, at 4:00 GMT. Before this date, a crucial update (version 1.43.0) will be deployed on January 10th, from 4:00 to 9:00 GMT. This update introduces a local data save function, allowing players to preserve their game progress.
Saving Your Progress:
Players must update to version 1.43.0 and utilize the in-game data save feature located on the main menu. While multiple saves are permitted, this must be done before the January 24th, 4:00 GMT deadline. Unsaved data will be lost permanently after the servers shut down.
The offline version will allow access to saved data, story replay, and unit upgrades, but will not receive any further updates. Deleting the app after the transition will result in permanent data loss; reinstalling will not be possible.
Looking Ahead:
While the complete shutdown of Alchemy Stars has been averted thanks to the offline version, players are encouraged to download the game from the Google Play Store before its online services cease.
